Jef Schram has a masters degree in history from the Radboud University Nijmegen. He has been working for the European Commission since 1993 where he is currently responsible for archival policy. Before joining the Commission, he was a researcher at the European University Institute in Florence and subsequently worked for a project to write the history of the High Authority of the European Coal and Steel Community.
At the European Commission he has worked in the Historical Archives Service before taking on his current function in the Secretariat General. He was a member of the scientific committees for different tri-annual DLM Forum conferences and was the EC project officer for the development of MoReq2. Jef Schram is currently a member of the MoReq Governance Board and sits on the DLM Executive Committee as an observer for the European Commission.
